Statistical and Biological Physics

Biological and statistical physics bridges fundamental physics with the complexity of living matter and interacting many-body systems. We develop analytical, statistical, and computational approaches to understand how microscopic interactions give rise to macroscopic behavior, with research spanning stochastic processes, nonequilibrium phenomena, soft and biological matter, and applications to protein folding and biomolecular dynamics.
