Ville Keränen
Guest Researcher, Nordita Fellow
About
Ville Keränen received his PhD from the university of Helsinki in August 2011. He joined Nordita as a postdoc researcher in October 2011.
His research interests include quantum field theory and string theory. More specifically he has been working on the interface of high-energy physics and condensed matter physics, using the AdS-CFT duality to address problems in condensed matter physics. He has worked on AdS-CFT models of superfluids, constructing gravitational duals of finite temperature solitons. More recently he has been working on non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum critical points using AdS-CFT.
