Tobias Zingg received his PhD in Steptember 2011 from the University of Iceland. He came as a PhD student to Nordita in 2008 with funding from the University of Iceland.

Tobias is working on string theory, on back-reaction effects in string compactifications, and on applications of the AdS/CFT correspondence to quantum critical systems in condensed matter systems.

His postdoctoral stay at Nordita is funded by the Iceland Research Fund.
