About

Simon Candelaresi is a PhD student under the supervision of Axel Brandenburg. He is working on solar dynamos and magnetic instabilities, where he is doing simulations with the PencilCode. He is particularly interested in the role of magnetic helicity in dynamo theory.

Simon was previously working at the Institute for Computational Physics in Stuttgart on fractional approaches for electric dynamics of glassy materials. Since 25th of February 2009 he is member of the Nordita institute in Stockholm.

His areas of interest are solar physics, astrophysics, dynamo theory and fractional calculus.
