About
Patryk Pjanka received his PhD from Princeton University in 2020, and subsequently held a postdoctoral fellowship position at Nordita until 2022. While exploring opportunities for the future, he continues to collaborate with Nordita as a guest researcher.
Patryk is interested in various aspects of accretion physics of X-ray Binaries and Active Galactic Nuclei &emdash; from the dynamics of their accretion disks to radiative properties of the relativistic jets launched by them. While currently working mostly with computational methods (mainly MHD simulations), he also has past experience with both analytical and observational (optical and X-ray) studies of these fascinating environments.
