Fabio Del Sordo is VR International Postdoc, based in Yale University, USA, and Nordita. He was born in Campobasso, southern Italy, did his master at Pisa University and his PhD at Nordita, supervised by Axel Brandenburg, with a thesis on turbulent dynamos.

After a postdoc at CEA-Saclay (Paris), working on the role of magnetic helicity in star forming galaxies, in summer 2014 he joined the groups of John Wettlaufer and Debra Fischer at Yale to work on star-planet interaction as well as the role of stellar noise in the detection of exoplanets. His main interests are exoplanetary studies, aurora emission, astrophysical dynamos and magnetic fields.

He is member and founder of the international outreach program, GalileoMobile, which is active since 2008 to share astronomy among underprivileged communities in SouthAmerica, as well as Africa and India. With GalileoMobile, he is co-producer of two documentaries: "Under the same sky" (2011) and "In the Land of Beauty" (2014).
