Erik Widén graduated from Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg) in 2014. He obtained his master degree in fundamental physics after studies at ETH (Zurich) and Chalmers, writing his master thesis on extremal black holes and nilpotent orbits.

Erik is a PhD student at Nordita since March 2015, supervised by Konstantin Zarembo, Nordita, and Joseph Minahan, Uppsala University. He is currently working on localization in different supersymmetric field theories as a method of testing the gauge/gravity duality.
