Donovan Young
Nordita Fellow
About
Donovan Young received his PhD in 2007 from the University of British Columbia, working under Gordon W. Semenoff. Since then he has held postdocs in Berlin, at Humboldt University under Jan Plefka, and most recently at the Niels Bohr Institute under Charlotte Kristjansen. He moved to Stockholm as a Nordita fellow in October 2012.
Donovan's main interests are correlators and Wilson loops on both sides of the AdS/CFT correspondence. He has made contributions to the study of 1/8 BPS Wilson loops defined on the two-sphere and in constructing the Maldacena-Wilson loop in N=6 super-Chern-Simons theory. In recent years he has had a variety of interests ranging from Wilson loops, to scattering amplitudes and integrability in three-dimensional super-Yang-Mills theory, to holographic three-point functions of giant gravitons.
Donovan has also worked extensively with higher-loop computations in quantum field theory, with applications to Wilson loops, scattering amplitudes, and correlation functions.
