Cecilia Rorai received her PhD in January 2012 from the University of Maryland and the University of Trieste, for work on "Vortex Reconnection in Superfluid Helium" under the guidance of Michael E. Fisher, Daniel P. Lathrop, and K. R. Sreenivasan. Following her PhD studies she was a postdoctoral fellow at National Center of Atmospheric Research, Boulder, Collorado. She joined Nordita in March 2013 as a postdoctoral fellow working on a VR sponsored project to study the nature of turbulence in complex fluids. At Nordita she plans to work in close collaboration with D. Mitra (Nordita) and L. Brandt (KTH, Mechanics).
