Yesterday we welcomed Master’s students to our annual Open Doors event offering them a chance to learn about research in theoretical physics and meet scientists from all our strands: Hard and Soft Condensed Matter, High-Energy Physics and Cosmology, Astrophysics, and Quantum Information and Networks.

It was great to see researchers and students gathered around presentations, research ideas, equations and fika.During the breaks, lively discussions took place between researchers and students about research in general as well as potential thesis projects.

We ended the morning with a fun physics quiz and several participants left as lucky winners of Nordita cups and bags.

Thank you to all students who joined us today. It was inspiring to see so much engagement and interest. We hope to see many of you back at Nordita in the future!

We are grateful to our researchers: Watse Sybesma, Ronald Rodgers, Adrien Bouhon, Lars Mattsson, Sofia Qvarfort, Ralf Eichhorn and Matthew de Courcy-Ireland, for making the day possible and for sharing their knowledge and entusiasm with the students.
