The poster session of the workshop was lively and inspiring.
Last week at Nordita, we hosted the Nordic Quantum Information Processing Workshop (NoQIP), bringing together quantum researchers from across the Nordic countries. According to Roope Uola, one of the organizers, together with Sofia Qvarfort and Armin Tavakoli, NoQIP’s main purpose is to provide a platform for networking and exchange of ideas in the original spirit of Nordita, and it provides a necessary ingredient for the new generation of the Nordic quantum community to reach its full potential.
When we asked participants what they found most inspiring during the week, Daniele Trisciani said it was the sense of community and a shared goal across the Nordic countries. "It was also really valuable to get a broad overview of the field beyond my own work," he added. Andrés Damián Muñoz Moller commented: "I really enjoyed meeting others and the idea of potential joint projects. Theorists are looking for lab partners to test their theories, lab researchers are looking for new theories to explore, and this workshop is a great venue to form these connections."
“There’s already momentum for organizing the event in Helsinki next year, and maybe even in Copenhagen the year after. The event was a great success!” says Roope.
